Theme: Start Small – find your way to fill in those bigger squares.
Rules: Standard Tile Sudoku rules.
Answer String: Enter the 5th row from left to right, followed by a comma, followed by the 9th row from left to right.

Definitely completed this in strict numerical order (all the 1s, then all the 2s…) since it looked like that was possible and I was curious to see if it worked. The geometry is tight enough that even when you get up around 5-6 and the givens are pretty sparse, there’s plenty of information.
Pretty elegant, easy solve, but very beautiful at the same time. Liked the additional logic that if a number is placed it immediately restricts placing that same number in adjacent blocks, eg. the 3 in col 2 in block I, restricts the 3s in blocks IV and VII to col 1 and cols 3+4,
so that there is a 3 in all 4 columns of those 3 blocks.
Fave variant !
The title of the puzzle and the locations for the digit 1 telegraphed the theme to me. This is the first Tile Sudoku I’ve ever solved, and it certain introduced me to some of the unique geometric constraints. 🙂
