Bill Murphy has provided an example 6×6 version, which you can solve online as a warm-up.

Theme: Abridged

Author/Opus: This is the 128th puzzle from Philip Newman, part of the Genuinely Approachable Sudoku (GAS) team.

Rules: Standard Sudoku rules (insert a number from 1 to 9 into each cell so that no number repeats in any row, column, or bold region). Each line connects two circles; one circle contains an odd digit and the other contains an even digit. The odd digit indicates the total number of odd digits along the line (not including itself); the even digit indicates the total number of even digits along the line (not including itself). Note: Some circles are connected to multiple lines; they indicate the number of odd/even digits along each line individually.
