Sudoku by clover!

(This post is part of the Genuinely Approachable Sudoku (GAS) series.)
UPDATE from clover!: Good morning, friends! I hope you all enjoyed Bill’s April Fools CAPTCHA earlier today. Now that we’ve got that out of our systems, here’s today’s real GAS: a classic sudoku. Normal sudoku rules apply. And that’s it!

UPDATE 2 from clover!: I hear you, I hear you. “Clover, something is wrong. Clover, we want more digits. Clover, our lack of creativity is preventing us from solving your beautiful sudoku.” Fine, I’ll give you one more digit, but you’re going to have to work for it. 😤 Here’s another classic sudoku that I set extra-special just for you. Normal sudoku rules apply. Once you’ve solved it, simply take the digit from r2c5, and place it in r1c1 in the previous sudoku. That should help you out a bit. And that’s it!

UPDATE 3 from clover!: You may think I’ve singlehandedly tripled the GAS team’s count of non-unique sudoku in just a few hours, but you’d be wrong. I’ve actually quadrupled it. Are you almost ready to solve the puzzle, friends? Here you go: Normal sudoku rules apply. Solve this puzzle, and then take the digit from r1c9, and put it into r5c2 in the previous sudoku. That ought to do it!

UPDATE 4 from clover!: Mea culpa, I knew I was forgetting something. Regarding the hats and/or dinosaurs: to earn them, simply take the digit from r9c9 in the first sudoku I posted this morning, and place it in r7c3 in the sudoku immediately preceding this post. The timer stops when you successfully solve all of the sudokus in this post. 😉

Alternating Parity Arrow Sudoku by clover!

(This post is part of the Genuinely Approachable Sudoku (GAS) series.)
Besides the standard Arrow Sudoku rules, in this grid there must be …/even/odd/… alternation in each cell from the bulb to the tip of the arrow.

or solve online (using SudokuPad)

Theme: Not an Arrow Sudoku

Author/Opus: This is the 121st puzzle from Clover, part of the Genuinely Approachable Sudoku (GAS) team.

Rules: Standard Sudoku rules (insert a number from 1 to 9 into each cell so that no number repeats in any row, column, or bold region). Some arrow shapes are in the grid; the sum of the numbers along the path of each arrow must equal the number in the circled cell. Also, along each arrow shape, the numbers (including the circled cell) alternate in parity. (For instance, 9 = 2 + 7 and 9 = 4 + 3 + 2 are valid sequences, but 9 = 7 + 2 and 9 = 1 + 3 + 5 are not.)

GAS Time Standards (highlight to view): Two party hats (🎩🥳): 6:30; One party hat (🥳): 12:00. All other solvers earn a 🦕: forgot-a-constraint Fabrosaurus.

Thomas Hits the GAS (highlight to view): 2:13, with SudokuPad replay file shared as a download for now (requires loading via settings menu with improvements expected before people should use this regularly).

Solution: PDF and solving video with explanation from GAS team.

Theme: Out in the Cold

Author/Opus: This is the 119th puzzle from Clover, part of the Genuinely Approachable Sudoku (GAS) team.

Rules: Standard Sudoku rules (insert a number from 1 to 9 into each cell so that no number repeats in any row, column, or bold region). Also, when a number appears in a gray cell, it must be greater than the clue number above its column and the clue number to the left of its row.

GAS Time Standards (highlight to view): Two party hats (🎩🥳): 6:30; One party hat (🥳): 12:00. All other solvers earn a 🦕: chilly Chilantaisaurus.

Bouncing X-Sums Sudoku by clover!

(This post is part of the Genuinely Approachable Sudoku (GAS) series.)
In this unusual variation of X-Sums Sudoku, the X-Sums path bounces off the border cells and rebounds into the inside of the grid if it extends too far.

Bouncing X-Sums Sudoku by clover!

PDF

or solve online (using SudokuPad)

Theme: Bouncing Baby Puzz

Author/Opus: This is the 118th puzzle from Clover, part of the Genuinely Approachable Sudoku (GAS) team.

Rules: Standard Sudoku rules (insert a number from 1 to 9 into each cell so that no number repeats in any row, column, or bold region). Also, the clues outside the grid indicate the sum of the first X numbers placed in the corresponding diagonal direction, where X is equal to the first number seen in that direction. If the sequence of X numbers extends to the edge of the grid, it “bounces” at a 90-degree angle off the center of the edge cell and continues back towards the interior. (For example, because of the 9 clue to the right of R3 and because R2C9 = 3, R2C9 + R1C8 + R2C7 = 9.)

GAS Time Standards (highlight to view): Two party hats (🎩🥳): 7:00; One party hat (🥳): 13:00. All other solvers earn a 🦕: jumping Juratyrant.

Thomas Hits the GAS (highlight to view): 2:07, with SudokuPad replay file shared as a download for now (requires loading via settings menu with improvements expected before people should use this regularly).

Consecutive Count Sudoku by clover!

(This post is part of the Genuinely Approachable Sudoku (GAS) series.)
In this curious variation on Consecutive Sudoku puzzles, the outside numbers indicate how many pairs of digits must have consecutive values where “0” means the row is nonconsecutive.

Author/Opus: This is the 117th puzzle from Clover, part of the Genuinely Approachable Sudoku (GAS) team.

Rules: Standard Sudoku rules (insert a number from 1 to 9 into each cell so that no number repeats in any row, column, or bold region). Clues outside the grid indicate the number of pairs of adjacent consecutive numbers in that row or column.

GAS Time Standards (highlight to view): Two party hats (🎩🥳): 8:00; One party hat (🥳): 15:00. All other solvers earn a 🦕: zeroed Zanabazar.

Renban Sudoku by clover!

(This post is part of the Genuinely Approachable Sudoku (GAS) series.)
This Renban pattern evokes a “soundwave” with noise emanating from the center. Can you find the sound logic to reach the solution?

or solve online (using SudokuPad)

Theme: Soundwave

Author/Opus: This is the 116th puzzle from Clover, part of the Genuinely Approachable Sudoku (GAS) team.

Rules: Standard Sudoku rules (insert a number from 1 to 9 into each cell so that no number repeats in any row, column, or bold region). Numbers along each line must form a non-repeating consecutive set, in any order. (For example, a 4-cell Renban line could be 4352, but not 5679 or 2312.)

GAS Time Standards (highlight to view): Two party hats (🎩🥳): 6:00; One party hat (🥳): 11:00. All other solvers earn a 🦕: loud Lophostropheus.

Rossini (No Inverse) Sudoku by clover!

(This post is part of the Genuinely Approachable Sudoku (GAS) series.)
With a mix of “crescendoes” and “decrescendoes” to handle here, can you think like Rossini and solve this Sudoku?

Rossini (No Inverse) Sudoku by clover!

PDF

or solve online (using SudokuPad)

Theme: The Pointy End

Author/Opus: This is the 115th puzzle from Clover, part of the Genuinely Approachable Sudoku (GAS) team.

Rules: Standard Sudoku rules (insert a number from 1 to 9 into each cell so that no number repeats in any row, column, or bold region). Whenever an arrow is given outside the grid, the first three numbers in that row or column must increase in the direction of the arrow. For example, the arrow at the left of row 4 means R4C1 > R4C2 > R4C3 and the arrow at the left of row 9 means R9C1 < R9C2 < R9C3. (The absence of an outside arrow clue has no meaning in this puzzle unlike “standard” Rossini Sudoku.)

GAS Time Standards (highlight to view): Two party hats (🎩🥳): 7:00; One party hat (🥳): 13:00. All other solvers earn a 🦕: composed Coronosaurus.

Thomas Hits the GAS (highlight to view): 2:05, with SudokuPad replay file shared as a download for now (requires loading via settings menu with improvements expected before people should use this regularly).

Solution: PDF and solving video with explanation from GAS team.

Author/Opus: This is the 114th puzzle from Clover, part of the Genuinely Approachable Sudoku (GAS) team.

Rules: Standard Sudoku rules (insert a number from 1 to 9 into each cell so that no number repeats in any row, column, or bold region). Each gray region contains a chain of orthogonally adjacent numbers that goes from 1 to 9 in order.

GAS Time Standards (highlight to view): Two party hats (🎩🥳): 6:00; One party hat (🥳): 11:00. All other solvers earn a 🦕: chained Chindesaurus.

Ratio Pairs Sudoku by clover!

(This post is part of the Genuinely Approachable Sudoku (GAS) series.)
In this Ratio Pairs Sudoku, many “prime” products are shown in the grid. But will they all be as easy to resolve as you might think at first?

or solve online (using SudokuPad)

Theme: Prime Time

Author/Opus: This is the 113th puzzle from Clover, part of the Genuinely Approachable Sudoku (GAS) team.

Rules: Standard Sudoku rules (insert a number from 1 to 9 into each cell so that no number repeats in any row, column, or bold region). If a black circle is given between two adjacent cells, then the two numbers must have a ratio of the given number. Pairs of cells without circles can have any relationship. (For instance, a black circle reading “3” indicates that the two numbers have a ratio of 1:3, such as 1 and 3 or 2 and 6.)

GAS Time Standards (highlight to view): Two party hats (🎩🥳): 6:30; One party hat (🥳): 12:00. All other solvers earn a 🦕: ratioed Rahiolisaurus.
