Rules: Fill some empty cells with the letters E, A, S, Y so that each row, column, and bold region contains each letter exactly once. Some cells will remain blank. The letters outside the grid indicate the first letter seen from that direction.

Difficulty: 2 stars

  • Impressive construction, especially with region symmetry! I think I like the irregular variant more than the normal Easy As type, but I probably need to do more puzzles in the vanilla version to become comfortable with the logic.

    A note on penpa — not sure if I missed a setting, but I had to use caps lock to enter uppercase letters — shift-E just put a little e in the corner.
