6:57.Amazing sudoku. It won’t be an exaggeration if I state that this is the best of all classic sudokus I have solved so far.I find this even better than the ones I encountered in The Art of sudoku. To incorporate K-Jvatf at the very beginning of a sudoku in a beautiful aesthetic background simply requires talent!Excellent excellent sudoku.Wish you had a patreon system for sudokus .I would have joined long back.Thank you for this beautiful sudoku motris.

Could you please explain what is k-jvatf in Sudoku ?

• drsudoku says:

If you recognize the term has been rot-13 encoded, you’ll land at a possibly more familiar name. See detail here or elsewhere by Googling the real name.

• Tricia says:

I’m sure it’s lovely, but I feel like I’m searching for a needle in a haystack. I know what a “K-Jvat” is and how it works, but I don’t see one here. Anyone care to drop me a hint?

(I still can’t figure out why classic sudoku is the only puzzle that can generally stump me. I guess that’s a problem for a neurologist.)

General hint on getting started (which is deliberately very tough in this puzzle):

Gurer ner guerr pbyhzaf jvgu fvk qvtvgf svyyrq. Rnpu vf zvffvat n fvk. Lbh fubhyq or noyr gb cynpr n fvk havdhryl nf lbhe svefg qvtvg.

• Tricia says:

Thank you! I’m well on my way now.

• Aaron Chan says:

I knew it was a K-Jvat from the very start looking at the setup. Didn’t stop me from spending 20 minutes on it.
