    2 mins 4 s….Lovely sudoku…

Aw, what happened to the whole “From the Foxger’s Den”, “Doctor Sudoku Prescribes”, and that kind of title bit?

    • Avatar photo Grant Fikes says:

I was reluctant to let go of the foxger branding, but Thomas had some very good reasons to change the title format, largely because new readers were confused, and making sure that the type of puzzle gets included in the first 30 or so characters of the title for RSS purposes. I’ll let him elaborate if he wishes.

      • Anitar says:

Well, can you at least keep the numbering? Like is this were, say “Sudoku – Grant Fikes’ puzzle #78”?

        • Avatar photo Tom Collyer says:

The numbering is still there in the body of the post, albeit less visibly.

While I initially thought GMPuzzles might end up with different “feels” of post with the different blog lines, it turned out after a year that we basically just had one post format that never changed except for five (soon to be six and maybe even more) titles of increasingly inscrutable nature. For several reasons, including to better emphasize the puzzle style as well as the author’s name — Tom Collyer feels better than “Detuned Broadcast” for this purpose in my opinion — we have made this change to our posting style.
