Dang, Thomas! I’ve comfortably beat the “two party hats” time on every GAS puzzle for months now, but your time was just over half mine on this one. I might need to add a new column to my tracking spreadsheet to see just how short I fall, and I’m going to download your replay now.

P.S. I still think about our conversation at SudokuCon somewhat regularly. You’re not just a Sudoku doctor, you’re a fascinating man.

A lot may be variant style specific, it may be something else. I don’t regularly solve a lot of variations but solving the GAS daily may help me recognize spots I’ve gotten better and others like math puzzles I know will always be worse. My favorite thing in rewatching my solve here is remembering how much in Anti puzzles, particularly Anti-Knight and Non-consecutive, I routinely break “Snyder notation” rules at the start, at least willing to place 3 of a number in a box since it helps me visualize the chain eliminations knights make.
